ICpak 201 collection of Objective-C classes provides programmers with a"construction kit" approach to the design and addition of sophisticatediconic multiwindow user interfaces to workstation applications. The 58classes have more than 1100 methods providing rich functionality, frompop-up menus to scroll bars, to various styles of interactive dialogboxes.Using ICpak 201, programmers design and implement iconic user interfacesof an application by combining instances of its classes and allowingthose objects to perform the computational tasks underlying the userinterface.With ICpak 201, user interface functionality is already implemented andpackaged in a more flexible set of functions or subroutines. This isimplemented in Objective-C, an object-oriented hybrid extension of the Clanguage, and allows the programmer to extend or modify ICpak 201functionality by subclassing any of these 58 classes, overriding any ofits methods, and then allocating an instance of the new subclass.
